Department Overview

We build secure, scalable cloud, data, analytics, AI, and integration solutions that help the business make better decisions and deliver stronger customer and colleague outcomes. Our work advances the firm’s Data Mesh and Data Product Strategy by enabling trusted, reusable, domain-aligned data capabilities. You will partner with Business, Technology Delivery Leads, Reporting and AI Platform teams.

Job Accountabilities – What You’ll Do

In this role, you will lead people and delivery across cloud, data, AI-enabled, and integration solutions. You will align stakeholders, shape practical solutions, and deliver reusable, well-governed capabilities that move the organization’s AI and Data Strategy, Data Mesh adoption, and Data Product Strategy forward.

Lead cloud and data product solution design: Design secure, scalable solutions using Azure Cloud, Databricks, AWS, Amazon Connect, Power BI, APIs, pipelines, connectors, architecture drawings, and data models.

Advance AI, Data Mesh, and Data Product Strategy: Deliver strategic technology solutions that improve access to trusted domain data, enable responsible AI adoption, and scale reusable data products.

Guide delivery and engineering practices: Support build activities across pipelines, APIs, integrations, automation, reporting, testing, documentation, monitoring, controls, and production readiness.

Lead and develop people: Manage, coach, and support technology colleagues through clear expectations, prioritization, career development, and delivery accountability.

Orchestrate key partnerships: Work closely with Business, Technology Delivery Leads, AI2, TAP, product, architecture, platform, governance, risk, operations, and engineering teams to align priorities and resolve dependencies.

Support operational excellence: Help troubleshoot complex issues, improve performance, manage risks, and continuously improve cloud, data, AI, API, reporting, and integration capabilities.

You’ll be expected to work Primarily onsite at a TD location for meetings, team events and experiences. The hiring manager will provide more information about how this works for their team.

Job Requirements – What You Need to Succeed

10+ yrs progressive experience in technology delivery, data engineering, cloud engineering, solution design, or a related technology role.

Hands-on experience with cloud and data platforms such as Azure Cloud, Databricks, AWS, or comparable technologies.

Experience building or supporting data pipelines, APIs, integrations, connectors, automation workflows, or analytics/reporting solutions.

Strong understanding of data modeling, architecture documentation, security, resiliency, data governance, and production support considerations.

Experience managing or formally leading technology professionals, including coaching, prioritization, performance support, and delivery accountability.

Experience partnering with Business, Technology Delivery, architecture, platform, AI enablement, transformation, and governance teams to deliver complex outcomes.

Experience contributing to data strategy, Data Mesh adoption, domain-oriented data ownership, reusable data products, analytics modernization, automation, or AI enablement.

Preferred

Experience with Amazon Connect, contact centre technology, IVR/contact flow design, or customer engagement platform integrations.

Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, Python, Spark, CI/CD, DevOps tooling, or enterprise analytics patterns.

Experience defining or scaling data products, including metadata, lineage, data quality, service levels, and consumption patterns.

Experience working in financial services or another regulated environment with strong privacy, security, governance, and compliance expectations.

Technology

Data engineering: Spark, SQL, Python, ETL, ingestion, transformation, orchestration, data quality, and performance optimization.

Integration and APIs: REST APIs, event-driven patterns, batch and real-time data movement, connector design, API security, logging, and error handling.

Analytics and automation: Power BI, Alteryx, dashboards, workflow automation, semantic layers, reporting datasets, and business-ready data products.

Data Mesh and data products: Domain-oriented design, data product lifecycle, metadata, lineage, data contracts, quality controls, and self-service consumption.

AI enablement: AI-assisted development, generative AI awareness, responsible AI, machine learning concepts, intelligent automation, and data foundations for AI use cases.

Governance and controls: Data security, privacy, access controls, auditability, ownership, resiliency, disaster recovery, and operational risk management.
