Job Description:

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled finance professional with 8+ years of experience (Product Control experience preferred) with in-depth knowledge in IFRS 9 & IFRS 15 to help with new deal review and revenue recognition. Candidate should have proven track record in establishing controls, stakeholder management, audit engagement, leading projects and representing PC in wider finance forums along with reviewing BAU, ensuring on-time delivery, team management and escalations management.

Strategy

Responsible for the daily P&L production and analysis along with ensuring integrity of Balance-Sheet of Global Banking Portfolio.

Review/Prepare various reconciliation reports, management packs and adhoc reports.

Posting and review of month end Journals for accrual, provision and true up.

Take responsibility for the quality of work submitted and ensure that the highest standards are maintained by the team

Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks. Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from team members

Maintaining a pleasant workplace environment which is motivating and enables high performance within team.

Monitoring people performance, providing timely feedback, performing annual and mid-year appraisals. (including people development, pipeline/skills monitoring, and training programs,)

Minimise dependency on key people by cross training and succession planning.

Manage career and growth expectations of people.

Leverage upon knowledge and skills sitting with other teams at same location or similar team sitting across the globe.

Enable movement of people as and when required to manage resourcing across Product Control.

Key Stakeholders

Regular face off with Traders, Product Control Management, Regional finance team and various internal stakeholders within GFS.

Qualifications

Ideal candidate must have overall 8+yrs of experience, across PC, FC, Corporate Finance preferably with Big4 with latest 3yrs in PC.

IFRS experience is a must

CA / CFA / MBA in Finance or equivalent.

Experience of managing Banking book portfolio.

Ability to work under constant pressure to tight deadlines and deliver high quality output.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels both written (report and guideline writing) and verbally.

Analytical, Innovative and challenging mindset.
