We are currently seeking an experienced Digital Product Specialist – SAP HCM to support People & Culture (P&C) processes in Germany. In this senior technical role, you will be accountable for the stability, compliance, and continuous optimization of the SAP HCM solution for Germany, working within both local and global environments.
You will serve as a key technical authority and trusted partner to P&C stakeholders, ensuring reliable payroll operations, legal compliance, and high-quality system performance.
What you'll be doing
Act as the primary technical owner and referent for UniCredit’s SAP HCM solution in Germany, with a strong focus on:
Payroll
Positive Time Management
German company pension schemes
Serve as the interface between P&C business stakeholders and IT, advising on requirements, resolving inquiries, and consulting on solution design and optimization.
Execute and manage regular and ad-hoc operational activities, including monthly payroll preparation and execution, annual pension scheme updates, implementation, testing, and transport of legal change packages and SAP Notes
Take ownership of incident and problem management, including root cause analysis and sustainable resolution.
Work in close collaboration with SAP Basis teams to proactively monitor system health, performance, and all relevant inbound and outbound interfaces.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring long‑term system stability, compliance, and scalability.
What you'll need to succeed
8+ years of hands‑on experience with SAP HCM on‑premise (ECC 6.0, EHP8) in complex environments.
Expertise in:
German Payroll (PY-DE): Schema/rules, wage types, taxes, social security, ELStAM, DEÜV, eAU/eA1, payment transfers.
Company Pension Scheme (PA-PF-DE): Configuration, benefit calculations, payroll integration.
Time Management (PT): Absence/Attendance, quotas, Time Evaluation.
SAP ILM: GDPR‑compliant retention for PA/PY/PT/OM.
Expertise in SAP Add‑On Usage: SOLUTIONS HR easyCompare, SOLUTIONS HR easyAudit, Centric ALTRO
Development Skills:
Advance SAP HCM Customizing
ABAP development, incl. ABAP Objects
Experience with Notes implementation and SPAU/SPDD adjustments
Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks:
Deep understanding of German tax and social security law
Familiarity with EU directives impacting payroll and HR
Experience with HR processes in banking or financial services environment
Language & Communication
German C1 – essential for legal interpretation, SAP documentation, and stakeholder workshops
English B2 – essential for legal interpretation, SAP documentation, and stakeholder workshops
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
