We are looking for an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join the Infrastructure Engineering & Support team. The role is focused on the design, engineering, operation, and support of enterprise Linux platforms running mission‑critical workloads in regulated environments.
In addition to strong Linux system engineering skills, the role requires solid working knowledge of container platforms, particularly Kubernetes, to support modern, containerized workloads alongside traditional infrastructures.
The position sits within the Engineering (L3) function and includes participation in 24/7 on‑call rotation, incident resolution, root‑cause analysis, and support for production GO‑LIVE and major change activities.
What you’ll be doing
Linux Engineering & Platform Design
Design, build, and evolve enterprise Linux platforms in on‑premises and/or cloud environments
Define and maintain standard OS builds, configurations, and engineering patterns
Ensure stability, availability, performance, and scalability of Linux systems
Support technology lifecycle management, upgrades, and obsolescence planning
Container & Kubernetes Platforms
Operate and support Kubernetes‑based platforms with a focus on reliability and operational stability
Support containerized workloads running on Kubernetes in on‑premises and/or cloud environments
Perform troubleshooting of container, pod, node, and networking issues
Collaborate with platform, middleware, and application teams on container onboarding and runtime requirements
Apply security best practices for containerized environments
System Administration & Operations (L3)
Provide L3 support for Linux and container platform‑related incidents
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis in production environments
Support BAU / Run activities, including incident, problem, and change management
Participate in maintenance windows, patching cycles, and major infrastructure changes
Security, Hardening & Compliance
Perform Linux system hardening in line with internal security standards and industry best practices
Support security hardening and configuration validation for Kubernetes environments
Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with Security and Audit teams during assessments and remediation activities
Automation & Infrastructure as Code
Design, implement, and maintain automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions
Use configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible
Contribute to Terraform or similar IaC frameworks
Support automation for OS provisioning, configuration, and container platform operations
Performance, Monitoring & Capacity
Monitor Linux and Kubernetes platform health, performance, and capacity
Identify performance bottlenecks and implement tuning and remediation actions
Support proactive capacity planning and availability risk identification
Collaboration & Cross-Team Integration
Collaborate with network, storage, middleware, security, and application teams
Support application onboarding on both VM‑based and container‑based platforms
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and operational efficiency
What you’ll need to succeed
Strong hands‑on experience as a Linux System Administrator / Engineer in enterprise environments
In‑depth knowledge of enterprise Linux distributions (e.g. RHEL, Oracle Linux or equivalents)
Solid operational experience with Kubernetes platforms (cluster operations and troubleshooting)
Understanding of container concepts (Docker / OCI containers, images, registries)
Experience supporting mission‑critical production systems
Proficiency with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform or similar)
Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred / Nice to Have
Experience with high‑availability or clustering solutions (Pacemaker, Corosync)
Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, Azure)
Familiarity with OpenShift or managed Kubernetes offerings
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in regulated or audited environments
Relevant certifications (RHCE, CKA/CKAD or equivalent)
