Role 1 – Digital Product Specialist (Planning & BSM Solutions)
Our dynamic team, withing UniCredit Digital Planning & BSM Solutions, is focused on designing and delivering innovative tools for the Planning & Controlling functions across Italy, Germany, and Central & Eastern Europe. We are looking for a Digital Product Specialist to help maintain and enhance our application landscape, ensure production stability, and drive the development of new features according to business needs and in line with digital trends and technology evolution. Our tools are primarily used for reporting, built within DWH ecosystems or tailored databases to meet specific business needs, with both backend and frontend components.
Role 2 – Digital Product Specialist (Corporate Functions & Applications)
The role combines business understanding, product ownership and technical awareness, ensuring that solutions address business needs while remaining sustainable, compliant and scalable. The Product Specialist will act as a reference point for Credit Risk digital products, bridging Business, IT and other stakeholders and contribute to the definition and evolution of the product vision, roadmap and priorities, ensuring alignment between business requirements, regulatory needs and technological solutions while driving continuous improvement of products in terms of usability, quality, performance and compliance.
What you’ll be doing
Role 1 – Digital Product Specialist (Planning & BSM Solutions) Take full ownership of applications across their lifecycle, including maintenance, production support, optimization, and project-driven enhancements Collaborate with business users and stakeholders (e.g., Data Office, Planning & Controlling teams) to gather requirements and translate them into effective solutions Oversee application governance activities, including security, vulnerability management, and obsolescence programs (analysis, estimation, and delivery) Design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure IT solutions aligned with business objectives Ensure high service reliability by proactively managing incidents and production issues, meeting delivery targets and timelines Plan and coordinate internal initiatives such as system upgrades and software/hardware implementations Role 2 – Digital Product Specialist (Corporate Functions & Applications) Own and manage assigned Credit Risk mainframe applications throughout their lifecycle, from ideation and prioritization to post go-live monitoring and continuous enhancement Act as a single point of contact for business stakeholders, gathering business requirements and translating them into clear product requirements and backlog items Support and coordinate delivery activities, driving development teams, and collaborating with architects and project managers Ensure that product evolution is consistent with Credit Risk frameworks (e.g. Rating, Definition of Default, Basel requirements, Forbearance) Contribute to the definition of roadmaps, milestones and release plans, ensuring transparency on scope, priorities and dependencies Monitor product performance and stability, managing incidents, enhancements and technical debt in collaboration with IT teams Actively participate in testing phases (Integration Test, UAT) ensuring business expectations and quality standards are met Ensure compliance with internal governance, regulatory requirements and quality processes Proactively identify risks, issues and improvement opportunities, escalating when necessary Communicate product status, progress and value to management and stakeholders
What you’ll need to succeed
Role 1 – Digital Product Specialist (Planning & BSM Solutions) Technical Skills: Strong experience with environments such as Linux (RHEL), Windows Server, Mainframe, DB2, WebSphere, Git/Bitbucket Experience with the Oracle technology stack, including Oracle DB, PL/SQL, OBIEE, and APEX Solid knowledge of data platforms and ETL tools, including Teradata, DataStage, and MS SQL Server Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks, such as Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, C#, Bash scripting, and others (e.g., Struts, D3.js, COBOL, JCL) Ability to design technical solutions and implement them based on user stories and business requirements Soft skills and competencies: Experience coordinating full-service delivery lifecycle (requirements, specifications, estimation, implementation, testing, and post-go-live support) Strong focus on data quality, testing, and validation Good stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level reporting Ability to work independently as well as within a team and managing work groups, if necessary Open-minded, structured and result oriented, willing to learn new skills and technologies Fluency in English (minimum B1); knowledge of German or a CEE language is an advantage Role 2 – Digital Product Specialist (Corporate Functions & Applications) At least bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or engineering. Marked ability to interact with both business and technical stakeholder and eexperience in delivery methodologies (Waterfall/Agile) as well as on Risk Management topics (for example Rating, Definition of Default, Basel Requirements, Forbearance) and on application lifecycle management. Understanding of enterprise applications and data-driven systems. Knowledge in design and implementation leveraging on the following technologies as enabling skills COBOL, JCL, SQL for DB2 Batch Process design and Management Oracle (12c, 19c), SQL programming language Data Modelling HOD, Charisma Nice to have: Python Linux OS Airflow Eventually, the candidate should demonstrate: proactivity and independent way of working knowledge of English language (written and Oral communication) ability work following cooperation and synergies approach good Communication skills
