What you'll be doing
Role Overview The Solution Architect is responsible for designing and governing end to end technology solutions that support critical banking and enterprise processes. The role ensures that solutions meet business objectives while complying with regulatory, security, risk, and enterprise architecture standards. Acting as a bridge between business, IT delivery, and governance functions, the Solution Architect plays a key role in transformation initiatives, modernization programs, and strategic change.Key Responsibilities • Design end-to-end solutions compliant with banking regulations and internal policies (e.g., data protection, access controls, audit, segregation of duties) that incorporate AI/ML • Support solutions for core banking, channels, payments, risk, AML, compliance, and reporting domains • Define and document functional and non functional requirements, including performance, resilience, availability, security, and auditability
Delivery & Governance • Provide architectural oversight throughout the solution lifecycle (initiation, design, build, test, deployment) • Review and approve detailed designs, integration contracts, and technical specifications • Identify architectural risks, technical debt, and dependencies; propose mitigation strategies • Support estimation, vendor selection, and RFP/RFQ processes • Guide delivery teams and vendors to ensure architectural consistency and quality • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools, and vendors and contribute to long term AI and data strategy
What you'll need to succeed
Technical & Architectural Skills • Strong experience in solution and application architecture within large, complex environments • Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns (APIs, messaging, ESB, event-driven architectures) • Experience with cloud, hybrid, and on prem architectures, including governance and security constraints • Knowledge of data architecture (RDBMS, data warehouses, data lakes, streaming) • Familiarity with security architecture: IAM, encryption, network security, secure SDLC • Ability to document architectures using standard notations (C4, ArchiMate, UML)Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • 10+ years of experience in IT, including architecture or senior technical roles • Background as a Senior Developer, Technical Lead, or Systems Architect • Architecture certifications are a strong plus: TOGAF / ArchiMate
