Senior Associate, Agency Lending – join State Street’s global finance team.

Looking for collateral management professional who understands the entire flow of stock lending process to ensure that collateral is delivered / received as per the terms and conditions agreed upon with our customers for in-scope of equity products.

As our investment research and trading arm, SSM’s number one goal is to enhance and preserve our clients’ portfolio values by applying technology, optimizing trading, and linking asset classes and markets across the world. The team you will be joining is a part of MFO (Markets and Financing Operations) which provides Agency and principal lending services to the biggest asset managers in the world (governments, institutions and financial advisors). Our array of offerings includes Custodial, Security financing (Lending/Borrowing) and post settlement services. What you will be responsible for:
- Daily activities include loan and loan processing, exposure management, mark to market reconciliations, executing cash movements, monitoring process exceptions throughout the day.
- Management of transactions/trades between State Street and the various 3rd party custodians. Ensuring all trades/trade instructions are settled/cancelled, and fix any breaks that occur between SS and custodians.
- Agrees daily collateral margin, coordinates instructions to deliver/receive collateral with brokers and reconciles daily net cash movements for.
- Completes daily EOD balancing, KPI checks ensuring market activity is correctly reflected in the firm’s books and records (DML).
- Assist in driving various firm and team initiatives including Operational Efficiencies and Controls, improving the risk and control environment and maintaining procedures.
- Monitoring various queues and remediation of short position to ensure trade instructions reach market on time
- Checking and monitoring safekeeping position of third party client
- Good understanding of tools like SWIFT MCH/Global One
- Good understanding on market changes and candidate should be ready to accept challenges
- Communicate with Trading Desk, Borrowers, Counter parties to remediate issues
- Booking trades and sending BESS/SWIFT instruction to suffice loans, clear safekeeping
- Liaising with Third party custodian, borrower to settle hybrid loans
- Diligently Follow and maintain SOP's

Work Location : Bangalore
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
University degree in Business majoring in Accounting, Finance, or other Financial-related programs
Overall experience of 3+ years in the finance industry, familiarity with securities operations preferable securities lending activities.
