Product Specialist, Global Risk & Economics
The Team
The Global Risk and Economics team is at the forefront of delivering foundational geopolitical and economic data and insights to corporations, governments and financial institutions worldwide. We operate in a collaborative, dynamic environment where deep understanding of client use cases meets commercial acumen, supporting some of the world's leading asset managers, hedge funds, and investment banks.
The Impact
As a Product Specialist for Financial Institutions, you will play a critical role in driving market expansion, revenue growth and strategic positioning of foundational risk and macroeconomic insights into financial institutions across Asia-Pacific. Your deep product knowledge will help to close complex deals and build relationships with institutional clients, while your market insights will shape product development strategies and support execution across go-to-market initiatives. You will play a crucial role in expanding S&P Global Market Intelligence’s footprint in the risk and economics solutions space.
Responsibilities
Act as a subject matter expert on risk and economics solutions, providing front‑line sales support through engaging in client meetings, technical product consultation, pre‑sales activities and solutions demonstrations, developing rich knowledge of use cases and workflows
Develop and maintain product and sales materials, including presentations, case studies, factsheets and proposals aligned to key client workflows
Support the development and execution of Go‑to‑Market (GTM) strategies across the Global Risk & Economics portfolio, including designing collaterals and campaigns in collaboration with marketing and commercial teams
Analyze competitive landscape and market demands, partnering with cross‑functional teams to synthesize client insights and market intelligence into product development and GTM strategy
Maintain and strengthen key client relationships through proactive follow‑up communications, systematic tracking of client feedback, and collaborative preparation of proposals tailored to institutional client needs
Track and analyze performance metrics, including sales data, market penetration and ROI of campaigns
What We’re Looking For
Undergraduate or master’s degree in business, finance, economics or related field
2‑4 years of experience within financial institutions or in product management / go‑to‑market / business development role within information services
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences including senior executives, and collaborate across teams
Professional level fluency in Japanese and English
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
