Senior Project Manager role in Halifax overseeing QTS End of Life Program upgrades across Capital Markets.

What is the Opportunity?
This role reports to the Associate Director, Program Manager within the Production and Risk Services (PRS) team in Quantitative and Technology Services (QTS). As part of this team, you will be responsible for delivery of the QTS End of Life Program, coordinating the upgrade and migration activities for all End of Life technology used across Capital Markets spanning Physical Hardware, Operating Systems, Databases, Middleware and Business Software.
This role will be a relationship manager for QTS Application Development teams, Technology Infrastructure, Technology Risk and offshore delivery partners on End of Life Technology.
What will you do?
Lead a diverse portfolio of technology upgrades, overseeing software/hardware modernization initiatives across global business lines and geographies
Develop and execute comprehensive program/delivery plans
Analyze enterprise data to identify technology risks and asset footprint, translating insights into actionable strategies for risk mitigation and infrastructure optimization
Present monthly updates to senior leadership (SteerCo), communicating program progress, risks, issues, and achievements with data-driven clarity
Collaborate with enterprise teams through regular touchpoints, proactively resolving roadblocks, driving accountability, and ensuring risk mitigation across the program lifecycle
Drive initiative in broader QTS infrastructure programs, including server virtualization, cost optimization, vendor management, and emerging ad hoc priorities
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
3-5 years of project management experience, leading end-to-end delivery in complex, cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders
Advanced analytical prowess, including expertise in data analysis, visualization, and aggregation to distill complex information into actionable executive insights
Exceptional communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to simplify technical/complex concepts for senior leadership and tailor messaging to diverse audiences
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Tableau for reporting
Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or equivalent platforms for agile tracking, documentation, and roadmap planning.
Nice-to-have:
Educational background in Software Development or Computer Engineering
Broad IT systems management experience
Knowledge of Capital Markets products and systems is an asset
