Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We are looking for a top-notch, driven, Senior DevOps Engineer who is a great team player and passionate about the quality of their work. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the evolution of our platform by leading the design, build and maintenance of the CI/CD pipelines along with managing cloud platforms.
This position will partner with IT colleagues and assigned technical and business line to meet accelerated business objectives.
What you will do:
Build a target state roadmap. Collaborate with developers to improve the build, release and deployment process.
Address all enterprise mandates involving platform migration and tools upgrade.
Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions, Jenkins).
Manage cloud platforms, particularly OpenShift4
Deploy containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
Configure reverse proxies, gateways such as, Spring Cloud Gateway, Load Balancer, Service Discovery. Configure monitoring, logging and alerting for infrastructure and services.
Integrate external tools such as, Redis(for Caching), Vault(for Secret Management), Launch Darkly (for release management) with cloud applications.
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability and recovery of systems
In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 4+ years of experience working as a DevOps
- Skilled with Dev Ops tools such as: OpenShift4, Github Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Cloud Gateway, Load Balancer, Service Discovery, Dynatrace, Elastic stack, Splunk, Redis Caching, Vault Secret Management, Launch Darkly, bash, python
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes such as creating helm charts, auto scaling, managing, debugging deployments.
- Knowledge of build tools like Gradle, Maven.
- Experienced with Dynatrace, Elastic stack and Splunk
Nice-to-have
- Certification within the DevOps space
- Experience using AI tools.
- Experience of security gateways and protocols (JWT, Oauth2.0, SSL Certificates), vault identity and Access systems, Okta solutions, Security and regulations Mandates, Authentication Methods (OAuth, SAML, SiteMinder).
