Key Responsibilities
Head software engineering team on the areas of Policy Servicing, covering all the applications used in this area, by providing expertise in requirement gathering & analysis, solution design & documentation, and end-to-end technology delivery of business initiatives. Analyze current technology trends, regional technology roadmap, and internal company’s current technology state and design for future convergence and sustainability. Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates. Prepare the technical specification and maintain the changes. Lead end‑to‑end lifecycle for servicing platforms (policy servicing, renewals, etc.) Drive digital transformation and automation in customer servicing journeys. Analyze problems and implement appropriate technical solutions. Ensure that all development and implementation are compliant with IT governance policy. Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high‑performing applications. Propose and establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments. Account for possible project technical challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources, and scope. Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions. Build and establish company software framework and development standards to align with regional direction. Lead an internal development team in implementation of local in‑house mobile or web app system for business needs. Lead various technical integration with regional platforms or third‑party platform system such as eWallet partner, bank partner, lead generation partner etc. Oversee project strategies and processes. Develop guidelines for software testing. Technical support and planning for application management post go‑live of business‑critical applications.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering Master’s degree in computer science and engineering would be given preference. Minimum 10 years’ experience in front‑end development, which must include programming languages like ReactJS, React Native. Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading a technology team. In‑depth understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Waterfall and Agile (DevOps or Scrum). Understanding of life insurance business is preferable.
Technical Skill
Experience in working with CICD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc. Experience in design architecture. Experience in working with APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) Experience in working with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, Azure MS SQL PaaS. Cloud Infrastructure & Eco System: Expertise in Microsoft Azure Eco System Azure DevOps, Azure SQL PaaS, Azure Data Factory. Databases: SQL Server, MySQL, Couchbase, MongoDB. Operating Systems: Windows / Linux. Tools: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, SQL Server Management Studio, Service Bus Explorer, Azure Storage Explorer, Postman. Agile Project Management Documentation Tool: Jira, Jira Software, Confluence. Source Code Version Control: Bit Bucket, Azure DevOps. Deployment: Jenkins, Azure Kubernetes Service. Mobile App, Cloud solution, and modern web app design and development. Familiarity with any cloud services is desired, preferably Azure Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). In‑depth understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Waterfall and Agile (DevOps or Scrum).

Proven experience in managing large‑scale applications in insurance or BFSI. Experience in conceptual and functional business process modeling. Professional technical and business documentation. Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes. Digital technology technical forward thinking and ability to design for change. Understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and best practices, with an understanding of its strategic importance to organizations. Superior conceptual and analytical abilities, identifying opportunities for improvement through analysis and creative thinking.
Interpersonal and Soft Skills
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong co‑ordination skills required to liaise with counterparts within the Company. Good at listening skills, teamwork and demonstrates intellectual curiosity. Ability to work with a globally distributed cross functional team. Good knowledge in software documentation, standard, and best practices. Ability to deliver technical jargons in layman terms to business and vice‑versa to technical team. Continuous learner able to adapt new technologies and techniques to existing business needs. Capable of performing within a linear sequential design approach and an iterative approach to software development life cycle methodologies.
