Assistant Manager, IFRS 17 Reporting – Drive finance reporting accuracy and process improvements in a leading insurance group.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting Support
Assist in preparing IFRS 17 financial reporting, including monthly, half-year, and year-end financial statements.
Support preparation of statutory reporting and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
Prepare preliminary analysis and commentary on financial performance for review by the Manager.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data submission to Prudential group finance and other stakeholders.
Process & System Enhancement
Support initiatives to improve reporting processes, systems, and tools.
Collaborate with Actuarial, Finance, and IT teams to enhance data quality and automation.
Governance & Control
Maintain documentation and assist in implementing effective control processes.
Support audit readiness and liaise with auditors for information requests.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the Manager and team members to foster a high-performance culture.
Provide guidance to junior staff where necessary.
Ad-hoc Projects
Participate in special projects requiring financial reporting and analysis expertise.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) or progress towards one is preferred.
3–5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in insurance or financial services.
Strong knowledge of IFRS standards (IFRS 17 experience is an advantage).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
Preferred Skills
Experience with process improvement and automation tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
