Lead a lean Product marketing team [within a wider High-Net-Worth (HNW) Product team] tasked to design and deliver HNW product marketing initiatives that are customer‑led and commercially‑driven.
This covers the full end‑to‑end journey, from development of compelling product propositions to G2M activation via: • sales (e.g. product training, sales collaterals, sales‑platform content) • marketing (e.g. below‑the‑line (BTL) materials, online/digital marketing, PR/events)
Job Requirements
Create compelling product propositions by working with the product design team to provide customer‑led & commercially driven insights, potentially acquired through competitor assessments and/or consumer and distributor research. Following which, the product proposition will need to be crafted using storytelling techniques to be clear and compelling.
Manage the G2M activation development by collaborating with internal & external stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery to a high standard. This includes managing external vendors & partnering with internal functions to create cut‑through, professional customer‑facing assets & sales‑driving collaterals. Also ensure all materials meet internal standards and regulatory requirements and work closely with distributors to coordinate effective roll‑out of the materials.
Lead and coach the direct report to strengthen strategic thinking, communication quality, and project execution capability. Foster a collaborative, performance‑driven culture.
Drive and take charge of various ad‑hoc projects (e.g. distribution partner promotions) and help manage the team budget exercises and reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
University graduate (no limitations in terms of field of study)
Minimum 10 years of related experience gained in the financial services industry
Prior global/regional/multi‑market experience
Prior HNW‑focused sales and marketing exposure will be a plus
Willing to be Located in HK
Skills/Knowledge
Exceptional skills in written and spoken English; knowledge of Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) will be a plus
Good understanding of insurance products – specifically health, protection and wealth plans
Significant experience with unearthing customer insights (via research) and leveraging them in propositions
Skilled in translating complex/technical info into customer‑ and distributor‑led communication (language & visuals)
Innovative and creative thinker with storytelling skills
Strong strategic communication abilities – knows how to communicate to achieve conversion
Experience of supporting Distributor training and possesses good understanding of the sales journey
Considerable experience in developing customer‑ and distributor‑friendly sales and marketing materials (e.g. product brochures & videos, organizing product launch/revamp G2M campaigns) designed to professional quality
Strong design sense – understand how to use infographics effectively
Excellent project management and organizational skills – proactive and able to meet tight timelines
Solid experience in managing internal stakeholders and external vendors
Strong inter‑personal skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced business environment
Exceptional attention to detail, including word‑by‑word review
