Job Summary
The Head of Technology Strategy & Planning is responsible for shaping PLUK’s enterprise technology delivery direction, ensuring long‑term alignment between business priorities and IT capabilities. This leader oversees strategic planning, technology governance, quarterly performance reviews, team leadership, experience and multi‑year budget structure/overview. With a team of 2+ —including a UI/UX Designer—the role ensures structured execution of technology roadmaps, portfolio performance, design governance, and enterprise‑wide visibility.
Reporting directly to the CITO, this senior leadership role drives technology strategy development, facilitates enterprise planning cycles, oversees IT investment governance, and provides execution oversight. The role also owns UI/UX design standards through an embedded designer, ensuring user‑centered solutions across platforms. The Senior Manager produces executive presentations, runs QPBR, manages technology scorecards, aligns strategic priorities, and leads the structured planning and development of agendas for enterprise townhalls.
Job Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain PLUK’s enterprise technology strategy roadmap up to 3 years
- Lead quarterly performance and business reviews (QPBR) for the CITO
- Create executive‑level presentations for ExCo, Board committees, regulators and Townhalls
- Lead the end‑to‑end planning, definition, and tracking of Technology KPIs, ensuring metrics directly support strategic outcomes, operational efficiency, and executive reporting frameworks
- Oversee annual IT budgeting cycles including CAPEX/OPEX forecasting
- Drive portfolio governance, prioritization models, and technology risk assessments
- Ensure adherence to regional technology and compliance standards
- Lead modernization initiatives including Partnership engagements, platform rationalization, and digital transformation
- Oversee partnership driven technology initiatives, ensuring structured delivery, alignment with vendor capabilities, and measurable business value from external engagements
- Manage UI/UX governance through the UI/UX Designer, ensuring consistent design systems and user‑centered workflows
- Oversee design reviews and ensure customer experience alignment with product and IT teams
- Manage and nurture a Team (2+)
- Work with strategic pillars across organization to create a centralized and unified Org strategy
- Build cross‑functional routines and communication channels across business and technology
Job Qualifications
- At least 8-10 years’ experience with demonstrated ability to perform job function as stated above
- Strong capability in managing partner led delivery engagements, including project oversight, and value realization from strategic partnerships
- Strong presentation abilities for executive audiences
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles, design systems, user journey mapping, and usability evaluation
- Leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving
- IT strategy and digital transformation expertise
- IT budgeting, CAPEX/OPEX management, and financial governance
- Portfolio management, KPI development, and performance score carding
- Lean / Six Sigma, TOGAF, ITIL, PMP, COBIT
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other similar degrees
