We are seeking a talented individual to join our Affinity team at Marsh Risk This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. .
As the Affinity Leader, you will be responsible for the growth, profitability and client satisfaction of a book of business containing complex priority accounts. You will "deliver the firm" by aligning client strategies and needs to Marsh's capabilities and resources. This includes managing and developing client relationships, acting as the client's trusted advisor, pursuing new business development, and expanding and diversifying the mix of Marsh products and services the client holds.
In this critical leadership role, you will lead and inspire the Affinity team to execute its strategy and deliver business results, by setting direction and empowering teams to perform.
This position reports directly to Mexico Marsh President and plays a vital role in connecting the global, regional and local strategy.
We will count on you to:
- Maintain and develop upon high-yield, large, high-risk accounts and relationships and a high-volume book of business to maintain and exceed sales targets and expectations, and be accountable for the sales performance of the Affinity team.
- Develop the Affinity account expansion strategy and direct market research, event coordination, and resource allocation accordingly.
- Determine standards for account prioritization and opportunity prioritization for the team's book of business in accordance with Cross functional leaders' insights and objectives, the internal business strategy, account standing and other external factors.
- Control resources and ensure the most strategic account ownership strategy, personally taking on high-risk, high-yield accounts and assigning accounts to advanced sales professionals as appropriate.
- Direct and oversee the execution of the marketing strategy for the Affinity practice to best and appropriately position the firm and the solution and product offerings in the market and to enable the desired growth.
- Determine objectives for and advise on the development of custom solutions for major accounts and ensures optimal pricing for account scope and yield expectations.
- Be accountable for the retention of all personal and team accounts; monitor account relationships to ensure satisfaction, handle escalated issues or high-risk accounts and work to ensure a positive market perception.
- Develop the team strategy surrounding target metrics, goals and objectives for the industry or region and oversee performance monitoring processes for sales, retention, and professional performance expectations.
- Manage the human capital strategy and conduct performance appraisals, make compensation decisions and oversee resource allocation.
- Be accountable for talent acquisition, sourcing and recruiting the best talent for the team.
- Be viewed as an industry leader; attend, organize and participate in industry events and conferences and belong to relevant professional societies to maintain and expand a broad and powerful professional network.
What you need to have:
- 15+ years of commercial leadership - and preferably client-facing – experience on People Risk products and services.
- Proven success as a senior-level commercial leader and business advisor, driving revenue growth through proactive networking, strategic analysis, and insightful solutions while working with clients and/or client teams. Demonstrated ability to prioritize commercial outcomes while also building strong relationships.
- Strong commercial skills and a growth-oriented mindset, showcasing the ability to develop innovative commercial strategies that align with Marsh´s commercial priorities. Demonstrated proficiency in establishing creative solutions that drive revenue growth and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Proficient in navigating and effectively managing internal stakeholders across Marsh within the region/zone, ensuring alignment and collaboration to drive sales success.
- Proven experience showcasing a focused leadership mindset, with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive innovative approaches to achieve sales objectives. Demonstrated resilience in overcoming obstacles and adapting strategies to meet evolving market demands.
