The ideal candidate has progressed beyond core maintenance execution into advanced functions such as technical publications, planning, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and brings strong critical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.

This role is designed for individuals who understand the full lifecycle of aircraft maintenance operations and can bridge the gap between the shop floor and operational leadership—driving efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement. A key focus will be developing high‑quality technical manuals while flexing into operational excellence, technical services, and consulting support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Translate OEM data, engineering inputs, and maintenance requirements into clear, actionable instructions for frontline execution

Ensure all technical publications align with FAA regulations (Part 121/135/145) and internal quality standards

Apply strong critical thinking to identify gaps in documentation, processes, and execution—driving practical solutions that improve safety, quality, and efficiency

Flex across multiple functional areas based on business needs, including:

Operational Excellence: Support process improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, TOC), focusing on throughput, WIP control, and cycle time reduction

Technical Services: Provide hands‑on support for troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and production challenges

Technical Consulting: Participate in client‑facing engagements, assessments, and transformation initiatives to improve MRO or airline operations

Collaborate cross‑functionally with maintenance, engineering, planning, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and execution

Support quality assurance and compliance efforts, including audits, inspections, and root cause analysis

Contribute to the development of standardized processes, templates, and best practices across technical documentation and operations

Interface with internal stakeholders and external clients/partners to ensure expectations are aligned and deliverables are met

Qualifications

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required (or equivalent experience)

5–10 years of aviation maintenance experience in a commercial, MRO, or OEM environment

Demonstrated progression into roles such as: Technical Publications, Maintenance Planning / Production Control, Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Strong understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance programs, and regulatory requirements

Research and experience working within FAA Part 121, 135, or 145 environments

Proven ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and make data‑driven decisions

Strong communication skills with the ability to interface across all levels of the organization

Experience with M&E systems (e.g., TRAX, AMOS, Ramco, etc.) preferred

Preferred Skills

Experience in project-based or client-facing environments

Project Management

Exposure to digital tools or data analytics platforms

Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus

Safety Risk Management and manual interface experience

The applicable base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000
