Job Purpose (Job Summary):

The Senior Principal Application Architect within Enterprise Architecture will lead the development of architecture blueprints and support Solution Architects in their work.  They will work with technology and business partners to develop strategies, multi-year roadmaps, reference architecture, patterns and standards that support business domains.  They will work with Solution Architects to define target‑state architectures that enable scale, resilience and data integrity while ensuring alignment to long-term enterprise strategy.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

Work Experience / Knowledge:

Respected experience in an architecture role, supporting application architecture in sophisticated enterprise environments

Experience with application design and development on one or more cloud platforms

Experience with drafting and institutionalizing architecture patterns and architecture standards

Good business understanding of financial services, distribution, and asset management

Proficient with architecture modeling using industry standard notation languages (Archimate)

Experience with software application development in multiple programming languages and technology platforms

Experience with the design and development of API’s

Experience with DevSecOps technologies, processes, and practices

Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Ability to see the big picture, thinking and acting strategically

Strong influence skills both directly and indirectly of individuals across the firm to embrace enterprise architecture standards and recommendations

Ability to work independently; self-starter/self-motivated

Excellent relationship leadership skills with the ability to act with influence and build consensus

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

High-energy, confident professional with an ability to remain calm and take control in a crisis.

Fully capable to diagnose and solve problems while maintaining integrity and courtesy.

Formal Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems or related field or equivalent demonstrated experience.

License / Registration / Certification:

Preferred Certified TOGAF

Preferred Vendor Certifications from AWS or Microsoft Azure
