Mid-level QA Automation Tester – BIA QA role in Pune focused on risk‑based testing & automation.
Lead end‑to‑end test automation, improve quality practices, and deliver engineering lead duties at Barclays.
Purpose of the role
To assess and uplift the quality of BIA’s assurance and operational practices.
Accountabilities
Identification and targeting of areas of risk; contributing to the development of a risk based plan the QA.
Assessment of the quality of assurance and the effectiveness of operational practices in line with QA’s plan and requirements in an insightful and timely manner.
Collaboration and relationships development with stakeholders to develop quality initiatives, and action plans to monitor performance, improve business areas and govern operations.
Communication of results and recommendations, both written and verbal.
Identification of trends (internal and external) related to quality assurance and monitor compliance to regulatory standards and QA’s section of the audit charter.

Join us as a QA Automation Tester. At Barclays, innovation isn’t just encouraged; it’s expected. You will be required to have an experience in SOLD Simplification. It is a multiyear initiative to make the platform compliant to most valuable environment, hardware refresh and removing redundant functionalities. You will be required to lead the overall engineering & development of this initiative. You will be an Engineering Lead and required to coordinate & support requirement Discovery, initiative & delivery planning, roadmap and stakeholder management.
To be successful as a QA Automation Tester , you should have experience with:
- Experience in end-to-end manual and automated testing within complex enterprise systems, with a strong focus on scalable automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Java or Python for test automation
- Strong working knowledge of automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, RestAssured, TestNG, Maven etc.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI, with solid Git version control skills.
- Strong understanding of QA best practices, including risk-based testing, test optimization, and automation strategy.
- Strong technical communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and share automation knowledge.
- Experience with Service Now application testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
