Make your mark in Risk Engineering

AIG’s worldwide network of risk engineers work with clients, brokers and underwriters to help identify and improve risk globally for various energy sectors, including but not limited to: Power Generation, Renewable Energy, Oil and Petroleum, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Upstream and Mining.  AIG’s experience, tools, guidelines and training elevate AIG to a leader in the industry, allowing us to better understand client risk and contribute specialized knowledge to help in identifying and mitigating risks.

How you will create an impact

Energy Risk Engineers are responsible for conducting loss control surveys, managing power generation accounts as an account engineer, working with underwriters, clients, and brokers to help identify and improve risk for various energy sectors, including but not limited to: Power Generation and Renewable Energy.  The Energy Risk Engineers are integral in allowing AIG to better understand exposures and contribute specialized knowledge to help in identifying and mitigating risks. This position is home-based with fieldwork conducted at insured facilities.

What you’ll need to succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics   Minimum five (5) years of industry experience in Power Generation and Renewable Energy Fluent in English and Spanish Knowledge of a wide range of occupancies, exposures per best business practices  Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems as well as the ability to learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, exercise influence, and manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions Superb verbal and written communication skills Position is expected to travel and attend meetings at various offices, fields, plants, facilities and construction sites. Approximately 50% travel through year - predominantly in the US and Latin America countries
