Acciona is looking for a Technical Engineer to support our transportation project in Pampanga, responsible for technical planning, site supervision, quality control, and coordination with design teams, contractors, and suppliers. The role ensures construction complies with approved drawings, specifications, and international standards while resolving on-site technical issues and supporting specialized infrastructure systems.
Technical Planning & Coordination
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) teams
Help resolve design conflicts before and during construction
Site Support & Supervision
Provide technical guidance to site engineers and foremen
Ensure construction follows approved drawings and standards
Monitor progress and report deviations or risks
Quality Control & Assurance
Inspect materials and workmanship (WIR and MIR)
Ensure compliance with codes and project specifications
Prepare inspection reports and documentation
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain technical records, shop drawings, RFIs (Requests for Information)
Review method statements and work procedures (MES & ITPS)
Track changes and update “as-built” drawings
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting
Address technical issues on-site (e.g., clashes between systems)
Propose practical solutions without compromising design intent
Coordination with Contractors & Suppliers
Review shop drawings and material submittals
Ensure proper installation of specialized systems (important in airport projects)
Work with aviation-specific systems (runway lighting, navigation aids, baggage handling systems)
Coordinate large-scale MEP systems like HVAC for terminals
Handle high-security and safety requirements
Manage phased construction (since airports often operate during expansion)
Skills Required
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and CAD/BIM tools
Knowledge of construction methods and materials
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Communication and coordination skills
Familiarity with international standards (especially for airport projects)
Required Skills and Competencies
Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
Licensed Engineer (PRC accredited)
Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects is highly preferred
Strong background in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC)
