About The Project
The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) Project will double the number of rail tracks and upgrade stations for a 20-kilometre section of the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines between Kuraby, a suburb south of Brisbane’s CBD, and Beenleigh, a suburb of Logan City.
Key elements of the project scope include:
- Doubling the rail tracks from two to four between Kuraby and Beenleigh, including all civil works and civil structures, equalling reconstruction of more than half the existing alignment
- Modern and accessible station upgrades, including improved park ‘n’ ride facilities
- Level crossing removals at Woodridge, Bethania, Holmview and Beenleigh· Changes to the local road network and improved walking and cycling connections to stations;
- Upgrading rail systems and conventional signalling and enabling works for a European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 signalling system; and
- Decommissioning of the existing Loganlea Station and tie-in of new track alignment to the new Loganlea Station (station constructed as part of a separate project).

- Skilled Rail Labourers including Safe Working roles
- Concreters/Concrete Finishers
- Dogman/Riggers
- Plant Operators
- Trades Assistants
- Skilled and General Labourers
Required Skills and Competencies
- An attitude that places safety above all else
- Hold all relevant and valid qualifications and licences for your preferred position
- Hold a current Australian driver licence and Construction (White/Blue) Card
- Ideally, you will have completed Queensland Rail’s requirements to enter the rail corridor
- Experience within the construction industry, including general knowledge of engineering and environmental principles and relevant legislation/standards
- Able to pass a medical/functional assessment, including drug and alcohol screen
- A flexible approach to work and a strong work ethic
