About the Project
This role supports the delivery of critical Defence infrastructure as part of ACCIONA’s expanding Defence portfolio. The project plays a key role in strengthening Australia’s Defence capability and is delivered in a highly regulated environment with strict quality, safety and compliance standards. The site is based in Tindal, near Katherine in the Northern Territory, offering a unique regional lifestyle while contributing to nationally significant infrastructure.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Supervisor (Multi‑Discipline) with strong civil and structural experience to join our Defence project team. This is a site‑based role responsible for overseeing daily construction activities, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring safe, compliant and high‑quality delivery of works. The role offers flexibility with a weekly Drive‑In Drive‑Out (DIDO) arrangement from Darwin or the option to relocate to Tindal for the duration of the project. You will work within a close‑knit team delivering complex infrastructure in a high‑compliance environment.
Key accountabilities
- Supervise civil and structural construction activities in line with program, safety, quality & environmental requirements
- Coordinate subcontractors, plant and materials to ensure efficient site operations
- Conduct site inspections and maintain daily reporting and records
- Ensure compliance with Defence standards, specifications and quality systems
- Act as a safety ambassador on site, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring full compliance with health and safety requirements
- Monitor progress and assist with planning and sequencing of works
- Track site activities and costs, ensuring works are delivered in line with the approved budget and identifying any variances
- Contribute to risk management, issue resolution and continuous improvement on site
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience in a Supervisor role across civil and structural scopes on infrastructure or building projects
- Strong understanding of site‑based construction delivery, quality and safety systems
- Ability to work on a weekly DIDO roster from Darwin or relocate to Tindal
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Team‑focused mindset with the ability to drive performance on site
Defence Security Requirements
Due to Defence security requirements, applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.
