Join ING Retail Tech PH as a Backend Engineer where you will be part of a cross‑functional team of talented individuals. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reliable applications
- Write automated tests
- Setup CI/CD pipelines

- Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends
Key Capabilities/Experience
- Proven track‑record of building backend solutions, including implementing RESTful APIs, interfacing with databases, and integrating with messaging services, using a modern tech stack
- Strong fundamentals in software development, including proficiency in OOP, functional programming, design patterns, concurrency, and TDD
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation
- Experience working in Agile, collaborating with teams, and demonstrating adaptability in a multicultural environment
- Willingness to learn cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and IT risk
Minimum Qualifications
Must Have
- Proficiency in Java 8 or higher, Java 11 or higher is preferred
- Competency in Spring and Spring boot
- Experience in code versioning tools, preferably Git
- Experience in Test Automation (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)
- Working knowledge in RESTful API Development
- Effective Communication
Good to Have
- Experience with database technologies such as SQL, JPA, Hibernate, etc.
- Working knowledge in Microservices Architecture, Containerization, and Orchestration
- Experience with CI/CD platforms, preferably Azure DevOps, and build tools such as Maven
- An Agile mindset
