To meet the requirements of the business, the Engineer actively participates in the design and architecture of the application or its components, investigates and proposes appropriate technologies to be used, promotes re‑usability of existing components and contributes to the creation of frameworks. Assists more junior members of the team and controls their work where applicable. Engineer should have detailed understanding of professional software engineering and best practices for full SDLC including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operation.

Your key responsibilities
- Build new and/or modify existing software to meet business and system requirements.
- Designing and implementing Java based software components for the Transaction Monitoring Data Controls applications
- Contributing to Cloud/AI capabilities to ensure maximum automation of our applications.
- Ensure application designs conform with business goals.
- Exhibits DevOps mind-set where team is accountable for delivering the feature from inception to sunset.
- Strong collaboration with other teams for application development, integration and support.
Must Have
- Minimum 6 years+ on professional software development experience using Spring Boot/ Microservices/APIs, Core Java (8/11/17) with knowledge on Oops and design patterns etc.
- Hands‑on experience developing and operating cloud‑native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands‑on experience with application monitoring, logging, alerting, and production observability tools.
- Experience leveraging AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT) to improve engineering productivity.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and automated environment provisioning.
- Professional experience of at least one data storage technology (e.g., Oracle, Big Query)
- Professional experience of at least one "CI/CD" tool.
- Experience of working with a globally distributed team requiring remote interaction across locations, time zones and diverse cultures.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong analytical and debugging skills in complex distributed systems.
Ideal to Have
- Experience with cloud development platform (GCP/AWS/Kubernetes/Docker). GCP is preferred.
- Experience working with Drools or similar product
- Experience working with confidential data and strategies to avoid direct use of raw data
- Understanding of data security principles and implementation considerations.
- Hands‑on experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, Cloud Monitoring, or equivalent.
- Experience defining operational dashboards, alerts, service health metrics, and monitoring strategies.
