Job Description
- Manage day-to-day regulatory and compliance matters as they arise.
- Receive, interpret, and disseminate regulatory requirements, and ensure timely implementation and completion of related actions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support regulatory supervision, surveys, consultations, and provide timely responses to regulators.
- Prepare for and support regulatory-related meetings.
- Draft, review, and submit regulatory reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide advisory support to business and operations on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Guide and support the business in implementing changes required by new or updated regulations.
- Assist in the implementation of global and local policies and procedures.
- Conduct compliance monitoring of designated business activities and perform periodic reviews.
- Plan and deliver compliance induction and role-specific compliance training programs.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities as required.
- Engage stakeholders to promote a strong data protection culture, and provide guidance on privacy-by-design and new initiatives.
- Participate in team job rotations where required.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a risk or control function (e.g., compliance, legal, audit, or risk management).
- Proven experience engaging with local regulatory authorities.
- Solid knowledge of local banking regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, with the ability to balance firmness with flexibility.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to work independently, think proactively, and take ownership and accountability.
