OPERATIONS

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm's assets and its reputation.

Operations spans all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business.

The Prime Brokerage (PB) Operations team operates in a dynamic environment where you will be required to lead and prioritise across multiple workstreams in order to support a fast-paced business environment.

PRIME BROKERAGE

Prime Brokerage (PB) within Global Markets provides a suite of services to hedge funds and other professional investors. Middle office initiatives are focused on increasing STP to drive scale across the Securities business, with an emphasis on high STP rates and quick query resolution to provide a seamless client experience. This is to be achieved in part by a multi-year system and flow convergence programme, as well as consolidating functions across Operations to form a broader Equity middle office.

Responsibilities

Review, approve and provide oversight of cash transactions including payments & journals, with accountability for escalation and control frameworks

Lead resolution of complex cash queries from internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes

Maintain deep understanding of internal and external regulations, and drive adherence across the team

Analyse and resolve exceptions in a timely manner, implementing root cause fixes to reduce recurrence

Evaluate, escalate and own risk items in partnership with management and the business

Drive continuous improvement of process efficiencies & controls, including sponsoring automation and re-engineering initiatives

Maintain and develop senior relationships with multiple internal teams, including treasury, account management and risk management functions

Lead regional coordination with global counterparts to ensure follow-the-sun / pass-the-book coverage is maintained and optimised

Strong risk control mindset with meticulous attention to detail across daily operations, checkouts and supervisory responsibilities

Solid product background in Cash Management and/or Prime Brokerage is strongly preferred

Minimum 8 of years of progressive experience in Operations, and able to demonstrate the strong leadership 

Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment

Commitment to delivering high quality client service and a client-first culture

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive strategic problem solving across functions

Requirements

Strong risk control mindset with meticulous attention to detail across daily operations, checkouts and supervisory responsibilities
