Associate Underwriter – support AXA XL’s Global Programs in US regulatory compliance, ISO rating, and account binding. Key duties include quoting ISO accounts, managing binders, coordinating with Middle Office & ESS, and driving process efficiencies in a multinational environment.

Associate Underwriter Incoming Casualty and Property Unit Global Insurance Programs are central to AXA XL’s offering to clients and its international businesses manage over 5000 programs worldwide arranging over 35,000 policies. The offering spans across all lines of business and our network is one of the largest carrier networks with over 200 countries and territories. Global Programs are a key pillar of AXA XL’s growth strategy, and AXA XL is well positioned as a top Global Program player as part of the overall AXA Group. Offering compliant US Local policies for our international customers as part of their Global Programs requires a Property Underwriting skillset with a strong focus on US Regulatory, Forms (ISO and proprietary), Operations and Process. What you’ll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include? Quote both new and renewal business ISO accounts produced by our overseas colleagues within parameters established by our Rules and Guidelines and Underwriting Authority Statement. All business quoted must be within Regulatory Compliance Standards and will require knowledge of our Regulatory Resource Site which contains tools need to quote. The ISO Property and Casualty Associate Underwriter will be trained in ISO rating for property and GL along with basics of underwriting and form knowledge. Once an account is bound work closely with your Underwriting Assistant to provide superior service to our local brokers by requesting binders, invoices along with endorsements and certificates in a timely manner. When the sign off an account is completed by your Underwriting Assistant, complete account review sheet for the account explaining your underwriting rationale. Complete peer reviews of your fellow team members on existing ISO Business. Work with Middle Office to help keep the items on our pending report to a minimum. Work with Shared Services (ESS) by providing clear direction to ESS when requesting endorsements, certificates, binders, and invoices. Eventually participate in Team Calls offering where ideas on Underwriting Issues and process efficiencies are discussed. Participate in Bi-Weekly calls with ESS to improve our efficiencies across the board. Collaborate with internal colleagues regarding risk assessment. You will report to Multinational Incoming Manager -Property and Casualty SHARE your Talent We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Knowledge of ISO rating and ISO forms is a plus Desired Skills and Abilities: Insurance coursework is a plus. Ability to be a collaborator and support the team. Ability to manage accounts within service timing standards. Effective communicator evidenced by eventual participation in Team Meetings and interactions with Middle Office, ESS. The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 57,800 - 96,300. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location.
