Responsibilities

Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements

Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards

Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint

Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation

Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals

Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions

Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Lead the design, development, and implementation of critical, multi-year strategic initiatives, including the BlackRock Portfolio Solutions partnership, Unified Managed Accounts, and a comprehensive portfolio analytics solution integrated with the end-to-end ecosystem.

Partner with product management, business stakeholders, and architecture teams to define technical roadmaps, ensure alignment with strategic objectives, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Drive the resolution of high-impact technical challenges and complex business problems through in-depth evaluation and innovative solution development.

Serve as a solid hands-on engineer, leading front-to-back development using modern technologies such as Angular for frontend, SpringBoot for backend services, Kafka for event streaming, and Oracle for robust data management.

Provide expert guidance in applications programming, ensuring application design adheres to enterprise architectural blueprints and best practices.

Develop and enforce coding standards, testing methodologies, debugging processes, and deployment strategies across the development lifecycle.

Champion the adoption and integration of AI tools and prompt-based engineering practices to enhance development efficiency, introduce intelligent features, and drive innovation within wealth management platforms.

Maintain a keen interest in emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential application to optimize processes and deliver business value.

Act as a mentor and coach to mid-level developers and analysts, fostering technical growth, allocating work effectively, and promoting a culture of engineering excellence.

Collaborate across various technology and business functions, including architecture, infrastructure, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and successful delivery of solutions.

Appropriately assess technical and operational risks in decision-making, safeguarding the firm’s reputation and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Adhere to company policies, apply sound ethical judgment, and expedite, manage, and report control issues with transparency.

Recommended Qualifications

6-10 years of progressive experience in applications development, with a strong focus on hands-on, front-to-back engineering.

Extensive experience with modern web development frameworks (e.g., Angular), backend technologies (e.g., SpringBoot), messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka), and relational databases (e.g., Oracle).

Demonstrated experience in leading and successfully delivering complex, multi-year technology projects within a financial services or wealth management context.

Proven interest and practical familiarity with AI tools and prompt-based engineering.

Strong understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development principles.

Exceptional leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Consistently demonstrates clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication.

$142,320.00 - $213,480.00
