Job Description
Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is looking for a senior analyst / associate to reinforce its Coverage Corporate Banking team in Paris office . The Bank's strategy follows a relationship driven model and focuses its efforts on a targeted portfolio of c.80 large corporate clients in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Ireland.
In collaboration with the other coverage bankers and the senior bankers, you will be required to carry out the following missions:
- Assist Bankers in their global coverage responsibilities
- Monitor client revenues, building business plans and projecting profitability and exposure
- Prepare and facilitate the internal approval of capital allocation and risk committees
- Coordinate with product specialists and relationship partners globally to provide high quality services to our clients in geographies covered by Santander (Iberia, Latin America, UK, US, etc.)
- Update the required documents requested for Compliance and KYC related topics
- The Paris branch will allow you to learn and evolve in a caring, dynamic, entrepreneurial and international environment. The team in place will take the time to train you so that you can quickly be the contact for the various stakeholders.
- The successful candidate must demonstrate intellectual curiosity and interest in delivering a wide scope of solutions ranging from M&A to ECM, DCM, Syndicated Loans, Acquisition Finance, Ratings Advisory, Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, FX/FI Hedging, Trade finance & Working Capital solutions, Export finance and Cash Management.

Requirements
- Graduated from Business School – Master degree specialized in Finance
- Minimum 3 years of experience in coverage or in a relevant product team (including internships, apprenticeships) in a CIB.
- Strong analytical skills: Good understanding of corporate banking products, ability to assess credit risk and contribute to internal rating / risk committee. Capacity to build and review financial models and perform scenario / sensitivity analyses is a plus.
- Interpersonal skills, good communication: team player with ability to interact effectively with all levels of hierarchy and all product teams.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines while paying strong attention to detail with ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise materials.
- Ability to work in a truly international environment.
- Entrepreneurial mind-set, pro‑active and autonomous.
- Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel.
- Fluency in French and English is mandatory. Spanish and/or Portuguese are a plus.
