Role Description
Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration You’ll be a seasoned software engineer with 5+ years of experience , joining a team of enthusiastic individuals striving to innovate, design, and build solutions that meet comprehensive requirements. You’ll be familiar with SDLC and Agile practices , able to translate requirements into technical solutions while communicating effectively both within and outside your team. You’ll have strong development skills, be familiar with IDEs and development toolsets, and contribute through code reviews to identify inaccuracies efficiently. Additionally, you’ll help team members and serve as a role model with potential exposure to team leadership .

Your key responsibilities
- Hands On design, development and deployment of microservices using Java full stack technology stacks.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects and devops to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Adhere and promote best practises and standards.
- Drive the code reviews, coding standards and mentoring junior members.
- Collaborate closely with team members, QA, and product partners to deliver agreed features
- Support CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps best practices
- Ensure solutions comply with security, risk, and compliance requirements
- Document code, technical designs, and operational procedures where required
Your skills and experience
Must Have
5+ years of hands‑on experience in Java development with expertise in Spring Boot, Multithreading, and RESTful APIs. Strong experience in front-end technologies (Angular, React). Ability to Develop and maintain Perl / Python‑based components, scripts, or batch processes Good knowledge of Linux, understanding of containers and cloud solutions Proven experience in performance tuning and optimization of large applications (including Oracle databases). Hands‑on experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mojito) and automated testing tools. Experience with Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes for containerized deployments. Strong understanding of authentication and authorization concepts, OAUTH2, Spring security, API Management. Experience on cloud native hosting resources (OpenShift, GCP GKE, Cloud Run Functions, Networking VPCs) Proficiency in CI/CD tools such a Gradle, Maven, GitHub Actions. Basic understanding of Unix/Linux commands. Good understanding of Swagger, and JSON.
Desirable
Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and organization skills. Team player, with strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate at all levels. Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Strong understanding of Agile Practices.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or relevant technology & science Technology certifications from any industry leading cloud providers
