Senior Technician (Computer) – Geilenkirchen, Germany. Join NATO’s E-3A ESM team for maintenance and flight safety. Hands‑on E-3A computer, test equipment, and simulator support in an international environment.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a motivated professional to join our Logistics Wing team as a Computer Specialist.

In this role, you will be part of the Computer/Electronic Support Measures (ESM) team and assume responsibilities for the maintaining the E -3A Computer/Display & ESM/LAIRCM systems and related elements of the Mission Simulator. Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of activities, including performing maintenance on and off equipment, as well as troubleshooting, servicing, inspection, testing, modification, repair, replacement, and adjustment of systems, test systems, support equipment, components, and simulator elements, using specialized test equipment in accordance with applicable technical publications and directives. You will be required to cross-train and qualify in all section assigned trades. You will be directly responsible for the compliance of aircraft maintenance with airworthiness requirements and your work will directly impact flight safety of E-3A aircraft.

YOUR TEAM

The Maintenance Production Squadron is responsible for the management of all short-term maintenance activities and executes all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance. The Aircraft Electronics Systems Branch performs and supports all requirements for scheduled, unscheduled maintenance on aircraft electronic systems and components for communication, computers, ESM, radar, avionics at MOB and all deployed locations. The Computer/Electronic Support Measures (ESM) Section performs on and off equipment maintenance and repair of E-3A Situation Display Consoles, CPS, MDR, AMC, MSIC, ESM sensors and antennas, LAIRCM system and interfaces to all other backend systems.

CONTRACT

 

Serving civilian members of NATO will be offered a contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations. Newly recruited staff will be initially offered a definite duration contract of three years. Thereafter, an indefinite duration contract might be offered.
