Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) is Santander's global division that supports some of the world's most complex and sophisticated corporate and institutional clients, offering customized services and value-added wholesale products to best meet their needs.

The wider Santander Benelux team currently consist of 26 people and the Corporate Banking team consists of 6 persons excluding supporting interns. This opportunity will allow you to further grow your professional skillset and  learn and develop internal and external client relationships in a unique environment.

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

SCIB s looking for a CORPORATE BANKING ANALYST   based out of AMSTERDAM

We’re shaping the way we work  through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

Support the team in managing relationships with large corporate clients headquartered in the Benelux

Support in the origination and executions of transactions across Global Banking including Syndicated Loans, DCM, Structed Finance, Global Transaction Banking (GTB) including Trade & WC solutions, Export Finance, Cash Management and Global Markets including Rates and FX.

Performing financial and strategic business analysis on sectors, competitors and clients

Take responsibility for delivering client presentations and supporting coverage or product related initiatives

Preparing client business plans, monitoring performance in terms of client profitability and absolute revenue targets (involved in all internal and external aspects of transactions, e.g. client pitches, credit documentation, risk & business committees)

Take A to Z responsibility for KYC and Compliance requirements for our clients.

Actively train and mentor graduates and interns of the team

Professional Experience

Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience in Corporate  & Investment banking at top tier international bank (Required)

Education

Bachelor’s degree required (preferably Masters) ; strong academic track record and preferably in business administration, finance, accounting and/or economics (Required)

Languages

Languages: Fluent in English. (Required)

Dutch, French and/or Spanish are a plus (Preferred).

Hard Skills

Ability to manage multiple stakeholder and workstreams simultaneously (Required).

Strong analytical and quantitative skills (Required)

Entrepreneurial mindset, pro-active and autonomous (Required)

Team player who can interact effectively with all levels of hierarchy and product teams (Required)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Required)

Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (Required)
