Position Overview
Job Title: Governance Lead – IB CPO Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President Location: Bangalore, India About the Role The IB & Cross Product Operations COO function spans a diverse set of business areas, including Fixed Income & Equities Capital Markets Operations, Regulatory Reporting, Trader Surveillance, Client Asset Management, Reconciliations, Network Management, Margin, Treasury, Tax, and various front to back operational processes. Managing governance across such a wide landscape requires a dedicated focus on data integrity, consistency, operational transparency, and the controlled delivery of management information. Based in Bangalore, this role is part of the IB & Cross Product Operations COO function. The Governance Lead will collaborate with global Operations stakeholders to strengthen KPI governance, support strategic initiatives, and deliver high‑quality senior management reporting. The role ensures timely and accurate monthly governance processes across regions and is critical to enabling informed decision‑making, supporting business growth, and enhancing operational stability across the bank.

Your key responsibilities
- - Own and enhance governance processes for monthly scorecards, MIS, and business reporting.
- - Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment of data across global Operations teams.
- - Prepare insightful presentations for senior stakeholders covering cost, financial performance, capacity trends, and business planning.
- - Enforce adherence to timelines and ensure high‑quality submissions from global teams.
- - Drive data consistency, process standardisation, and cross‑regional alignment.
- - Support transformation programs and cross‑functional collaboration.
- - Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, HR, Risk, IT, Audit, and other support functions.
- - Manage risks and escalations, ensuring timely and transparent resolution.
- - Continuously challenge existing processes and identify sustainable efficiency opportunities.
Your skills and experience
Minimum 5 years of Investment Banking Operations experience. Prior experience in change‑the‑bank initiatives, financial industry projects, or governance roles within an Investment Banking COO environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills. Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment, delivering high‑quality work under tight deadlines. A proactive team player with strong motivation and practical problem‑solving abilities. Inquisitive mindset with strong analytical skills, especially when reviewing MIS and commentary. Demonstrated alignment with the Bank’s Values and Beliefs. Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
