Role Responsibilities
The Investment Banking Team is looking for a Vice President to be based in Tokyo.
Our Vice Presidents play an important role in developing and strengthening our client relationships, participating on our advisory teams and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. Their responsibilities include analyzing financial models, organizing and preparing client presentations, executing transaction processes, and assisting in origination. They will gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and expand their knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications and marketing skills.
Vice Presidents gain exposure to the firm’s global businesses and deepen their understanding of the investment banking industry while developing key analytical, communication, and marketing skills.
They are actively involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), fixed income, and equity issuances. Vice Presidents also:
- Perform customized company valuation analysis
- Coordinate teams of tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers
- Lead due diligence processes
- Participate in legal negotiations
- Maintain client communication and help structure transactions
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 6 years’ investment banking or equivalent experience
Native Japanese language skills
History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
Strong team orientation and ability to work effectively across groups and regions
