Position Overview

Deutsche Bank's deferred compensation structure is designed to align employee incentives with the bank's long-term strategy, risk appetite, and the interests of its shareholders and clients. It's a complex system that takes into account a variety of factors, reflecting the diverse nature of the bank's operations.  The Deferred Compensation SME - AVP plays a critical role in overseeing deferred compensation, acting as a crucial link between Senior Management, Business Divisions, HR, and other stakeholder groups. Its primary objective is to ensure that deferred compensation plans are accurately managed through sound financial control mechanism and timely reported to key stakeholders.  The reporting part of the role includes Forecast, Plan, Management Information and other ad-hoc reporting.

You can expect:

Your key responsibilities

Responsible for the monthly validation of deferred compensation costs as calculated by the source system.

Deferred compensation cost planning & forecasting.

Periodic reporting of deferred compensation cost including variance and trend analysis.

Point of contact for Business FDs and HR Business Partners globally for any insights or clarifications on specific cases and costs.

Perform business analytical review of compensation data to understand behavior and underlying drivers.

Your skills and experience

Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, or other Business-related equivalents with Accounting courses.

Strong knowledge and understanding of compensation costs structure including policies governing the proper accounting of costs.

Proven experience in driving change initiatives across different levels of the organization.

Highly proficient in MS Office applications and SAP.

Knowledge with Equate Plus system is a plus.

Analytical and problem-solving skills combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
