Job Overview

The Product Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for the development of product plans, strategies and tactics in coordination with the Product Management team.The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.

Responsibilities

Finalizes the project plan with stakeholders and track closely for successful project delivery.

Meets with end users to understand business needs, write requirements, conduct walk throughs on requirement documents

Reviews Functional Requirements to Business Requirements to ensure Technology has understood and met the end users’ needs/expectations.

Partners with Technology, Product and Operations Management Teams to prioritize delivery of key projects.

Masters strategic business process modeling, traceability and quality management techniques.

Applies best practices for effective communication and problem-solving.

Successfully compete for the most sought-after business analyst jobs.

Performs project Status reporting to Project Stakeholders, Product and Operations Partners.

Understand the bank environment and compliance and regulatory requirements.

Track actual project costs, identify variances, and reforecast project costs as needed.

Measure project management performance against standards.

Lead cross-functional teams to resolve business issues related to technology projects with significant business impact as well as share knowledge across product marketing, contributing to the development of new techniques and improvement of processes/workflow for the product marketing function

Participate in technology projects for small product enhancements and minor customizations

Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on product customization projects and influence decisions through advice, counsel, and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization

Document new products and/or changes to existing products, ensure smooth business implementation during launch process, and prioritize and validate potentially dynamic material from multiple sources using analytical skills

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Owns requirement creation for given effort,

Leads scrum team deliverables,

Influences roadmap planning, etc,

Project support, Discovery analysis, owns features,

creates Epics, manages SCRUM team, Project Delivery,

Intake Lead, INC/Issue Management,

Product Discovery, release management

Qualifications/ Skills

9-12 years or relevant experience ( Banking Domain, Retail / Cards experience is preferable )

Agile/Scrum Methodologies, Program Management, Cross-functional Coordination, Project Planning & Execution, Risk & Dependency Management, Stakeholder Management, JIRA.Deep knowledge of different Banking systems, theories, and practices relevant to a function

Technical Product Road mapping, Product Backlog Management, Release Planning & Prioritization, Journey Mapping, Product Strategy, TCO Optimization, Requirements Gathering, User Story Definition, Feedback Mechanisms.

Practical experience of multiple business cycles

Knowledge of industry and competitor products/services

Working knowledge of strategic direction of the function within the business as well as a solid conceptual/practical grounding in function and/or area of expertise

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Demonstrated project management skills

Willing to work in night shifts

Education

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
