Position Overview
IT Application Owner, AVP Job ID: Full/Part-Time: Full-time Regular/Temporary: Regular Listed: 2026-02-13 Location: Pune Job Title: IT Application Owner, AVP Location: Pune, India Role Description The IT Application Owner (ITAO) is responsible for Application Management and Governance task. They follow several possible service delivery approaches, acknowledge interference with the IT application’s life cycle and assist with incorporating the adopted approach into best practice. The ITAO is aware of the gap in the current infrastructure solutions and where industry innovations are along the maturity lifecycle. They work with application stakeholders to improve the infrastructure, ensuring compliance with the technical roadmap. The ITAO has a sound knowledge of development methodologies and the IT policies necessary to perform effectively in the organization, aligned to the bank’s appetite for risk. The ITAO acts to improve safety and security of the application, compliance with regulations, policies, and standards, enhance operational readiness, and ease maintenance of the environment for delivering change into production. The ITAO supports the bank’s audit function in the remediation of audit points and self‑identified issues to reduce risk. The ITAO is responsible for producing and maintaining accurate documentation on compliance with methodologies, IT policies and IT security requirements. The ITAO interacts with and influences colleagues on the governance of IT platform reliability and resilience. The candidate should have experience in GCP technology. Should be hands on and be able to work independently requiring minimal technical/tool guidance. The candidate will extensively make use and apply Continuous Integration tools and practices in the context of Deutsche Bank’s digitalization journey.

Your key responsibilities
Ensure Application Stability and Performance : Oversee the structural availability, stability, and performance of applications in your domain (PRD, UAT, SIT). Organize Level 3 Support and align/organize Level 2 Support : Collaborate with development teams to organize Level 3 support for the application and align with Service Operations/SO to organize Level 2 support (or setup L2 support in case this couldn’t provided by SO) Policy Compliance : Ensure policy compliance and take ownership of projects necessary for compliance, such as security monitoring. Technical Roadmap Management : Manage the technical roadmap, including technology compliance, and estimate/budget capacity needs. AI Risk Management : Identify and proactively manage risks generated from AI usage in the bank, ensuring responsible AI practices are followed. Project Participation : Participate in Domain Expert Meetings and contribute to project cost estimates, including
