Role Description
Divisional Control Office (DCO) team ensures that the division operates with high levels of integrity. It is responsible for supporting the business by developing, implementing and maintaining a risk culture to ensure a strong and sustainable business control environment whilst minimizing risk arising from non‑financial risk factors. DCO strategy includes improving the risk management information and strengthening the governance and risk culture. The CB DCO has functional responsibility for Audit and Regulatory governance, providing a central point of testing over the Control Assurance and Quality Control reviews. DCO delivers consistent portfolio reporting to senior management to enable their understanding of the risk profile and the impact of control and process deficiencies. This includes supporting control owners to specify remedial action plans to sustainably address control gaps and a level of review to confirm original gaps are closed, with appropriate evidence that will be sustainable in the long term.
Your key responsibilities
- Assist in conducting quality reviews of finding validations related to SII, Second Line of Defence (2LoD) and Group Audit (GA) observations under supervision.
- Support execution of Quality Control testing activities across various business units within the Corporate Bank.
- Perform testing of design and operating effectiveness of key controls as per defined testing procedures and guidance.
- Document testing results, observations, and supporting evidence in a clear and structured manner.
- Identify and highlight potential control gaps, process inefficiencies, and areas for improvement during testing.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and proactively elevate issues or challenges to senior team members.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders and support functions to obtain information, evidence, and clarifications required for testing.
- Support additional control-related initiatives such as thematic reviews, remediation tracking, and ad-hoc testing projects as required.
Your skills and experience
- CA Inter / MBA (Finance) / Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Freshers or candidates with relevant internship, article-ship, or academic project experience in audit, risk, controls, or testing functions.
- Basic understanding of financial processes, internal controls, risk management, and audit/testing concepts.
- Exposure to areas such as internal audit, statutory audit, process reviews, SOPs, or control testing through coursework or internships is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply concepts in a structured and disciplined manner.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to timelines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document observations clearly and professionally.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analysis or documentation tools is an advantage.
