Position Overview
DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation. We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in the Engineering function of Private Bank, developing PB’s Business Service Layer (BSL). Business Service Layer is a thin Service layer providing the REST API for the functionality of the private bank including ATMs, Online Banking and Card Authorization.
Responsibilities
- Further develop and maintain scalable high-performance platform based on Java Spring Boot
- Work closely with the Kubernetes-based private-cloud Platform (Fabric) team to ensure efficient performance and scalability
- Collaborate with the service owners running on BSL to meet project timelines and deliver end-to-end solutions
- Implement best practices for code quality, security and performance
- Contribute to code reviews and architectural decisions
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to our junior developers located in BEX and FFM
Skills
A Bachelor of Science or Master degree with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline. Deep technical experience in Java (Spring Boot) Strong knowledge in database design, indexing, query optimization and transactions Experience with PostgresQSL, Oracle or other relational databases Experience with RESTful APIs microservice architecture Strong experience in software development processes, models, lifecycles and methodologies.
